Mauro Ricciardi’s story is a slow-unfolding spell—rooted in the rich soil of his childhood. Raised by farming parents, he grew up with a deep respect for simplicity and authenticity. Though his early career path led him into the world of electrical engineering, the call of the kitchen burned quietly but persistently within him.

In 1990, a moment of clarity inspired a bold leap of faith: he left the security of his profession to follow a dream, opening the now-renowned Locanda delle Tamerici, just steps from the sea. But Mauro’s creative spirit wasn’t satisfied—he felt that magical place deserved more, and believed his passion could evolve into something truly extraordinary.

By 1993, with courage and determination, he became his own chef. He immersed himself in cookbooks, attended prestigious courses, and studied under masters of Italian cuisine. His passion surged like a river in flood—relentless and all-consuming.

In 1998, his dedication was rewarded with a Michelin Star—a prestigious recognition that lit up his journey. Yet Mauro remained a restless soul, always searching for new challenges. After nearly fifteen years, he left Locanda delle Tamerici to explore new horizons.

In May 2013, destiny brought him back to Locanda dell'Angelo, where his mentor Angelo Paracucchi had left an indelible mark. This time, Mauro took center stage, writing a new chapter. Mauro Ricciardi at Locanda dell’Angelo quickly earned a Michelin Star, confirming his exceptional talent.

But Mauro's heart never stopped beating for Locanda delle Tamerici. A few years later, he returned as Executive Chef—and once again, the Michelin Star followed, reaffirming his mastery.

Today, Mauro Ricciardi is a respected name in Italian cuisine—an artist painting with flavors, a storyteller who speaks through his dishes. His cooking blends tradition with innovation, offering a sensory experience that touches the soul. For Mauro, cooking is a universal language—a way to express emotion and bring joy. Quality is his guiding star; ingredient purity, his obsession.

Now, never one to rest, Mauro embarks on a bold new adventure: the LUV Project, together with his close American friends, Barbara and Gabriele.
